Guild logoThe Rocky Mountain Marquetry Guild ("the Guild") provides a collegial forum for marquetarians and others interested in marquetry in Colorado and surrounding states. The Guild helps members learn more about marquetry, network with others interested in marquetry, show their work, and educate the public about marquetry. Guild meetings and Workshop sessions take place in Louisville and Thornton, Colorado.

AMS logoThe Rocky Mountain Marquetry Guild is a chapter of the national American Marquetry Society (AMS). The AMS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of the art and craft of marquetry. Founded in 1997, the AMS now has 10 chapters across the United States.

In September 2013, the Guild hosted the AMS National Show in Denver. In addition to displaying the work of AMS members from around the country, the show featured Silas Kopf as the keynote speaker, and local marquetarians also made presentations.

 

Join Us!

Rocky Mountain Marquetry Guild's annual dues are $20 for a single or family membership. Dues support Guild activities, including speakers and shows.

In addition to meeting programs and opportunities to meet and network with other marquetarians and woodworkers, members receive discounts from several local businesses, including Rockler (Denver store) and B&B Rare Woods.

Meetings

The Guild meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month (except June and December) at 6:30 PM. For more information about meeting location, click here. Guests are welcome!

Marquetry Workshop

The Front Range Marquetry Workshop ("the Workshop) offers regular opportunities for members and interested guests to learn more about marquetry, work on projects, and network with other marquetarians. To learn more, click here.

American  Marquetry Sociey National Show

The Guild will host the national show of the American Marquetry Society at The Great Frame-Up in Longmont August 11-31, 2017. The first weekend of the show will include a reception during Longmont's second Friday art walk and presentations on various marquetry topics. See more details here.
